Docker based Kylin/Hadoop is cool stuff, but as my experience, it still not mature enough:
It requires provision Hadoop, HBase and Kylin from docker one by one, there are many potential issues like network, host machine's memory and others. It's a little bit hard for people who have to know them together especially for newbie. But I think it worth to invest a little bit about how to speed up people to play with Kylin, would love to know if there's any idea:) Thanks Best Regards! --------------------- Luke Han On Wed, Jan 20, 2016 at 10:01 AM, hongbin ma <[email protected]> wrote: > our suggestion for new users is to leverage hdp sandbox which is free to > download. some guy helped us build a docker in the very early stage of > Kylin, however it is out of maintenance and honestly speaking maintaining > the docker image is an extra burden for us. > > On Wed, Jan 20, 2016 at 12:30 AM, KylinPOC <[email protected]> > wrote: > > > Agreed.
