Kylin does not depends on specified Hadoop/Hive/HBase version and feature so far, any compatible distribution with Hadoop 2.4+ should be fine. But we do not actually tested yet with MapR, and no idea if there's any others have experience already. Please just go and let's know if there's any issue, reply to this mailing list or fire JIRA ticket, we will take care of such issue.
BTW, this also could apply to any other distribution of Hadoop, really need more volunteers to help testing with different edition and version.
