If the cube number is limited, we suggest you create them directly in v0.7; If that isn’t easy, for 0.6 to 0.7, we have an utility class (in v0.7 code base) to do the upgrade (to be honest, this hasn’t been fully tested); You can try if you want:
1. Export metadata from hbase to local FS: Export KYLIN_HOME=<v0.7 Kylin home> hbase org.apache.hadoop.util.RunJar $KYLIN_HOME/lib/kylin-job-0.7.1-incubating-SNAPSHOT.jar org.apache.kylin.common.persistence.ResourceTool download ./meta 2. Run the CubeMetadataUpgrade utility class: hbase org.apache.hadoop.util.RunJar $KYLIN_HOME/lib/kylin-job-0.7.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.apache.kylin.job.CubeMetadataUpgrade ./meta It will create a new folder (append suffix “_v2”) in the same location, and then convert the meta data to v0.7 format; After finish it will do some verification and output error/warning messages if any; 3.
