First of all, I would like to thank the Kylin founding team, without all your
great work of
development and open-source, we wouldn't be here to have the chance of using
this awesome product.

And here is a little bit about myself: after my master graduation from the
university,
I spent couple years at Paypal(which was part of eBay Inc. before the
separation) doing risk detection
and business intelligence on big data. And then I moved to Mininglamp(明略数据in
Chinese),
which is a leading big data company providing enterprise big data solution in
China(you can find more at www.mininglamp.com)
At Mininglamp, we've served many large-scale enterprise clients from
e-commerce, media, online and offline payment to banking and government.

Kylin is used by us heavily in many of our big data projects especially those
with reporting, dashboard applications,
and actually we started to use it from the very initial version of 0.6 branch
back in early 2015.
Kylin does really good jobs and proves its capability of responsive, flexible
and high performance SQL analytics and OLAP on big data.

Personally, I believe Kylin will play an very important role in big data OLAP
area and have the potential to somehow replace many commercial BI products.
And in fact, my team and I are working on a project incorporating Mondrian and
Kylin and some other softwares to build a lightweight but easy-to-use big data
OLAP product.

Lastly, I want to thank Luke for inviting me and sending out the notice, and
it's really my great honor to become an
Apache Kylin committer. I look forward to contributing more and making real
impact to the community.

Best Regards,
Hua
