Hi DroopyHoo and Luke, I have applied a patch for https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KYLIN-957 last night, which support hbase deployed on a separate cluster.
It works well in our environment, both in Cube Building and Merging. But there’s still an un-resolved issue about this patch, details can be found in the comments of patch.
