Thanks, David, using translate-0.8rc2 solved the problem. I'm now well on the way to having a localized Hebrew version of OOo 2.0.
Pavel, what is the procedure for contributing localization info, once it is finished? Do I submit the GSI file, or the PO files?

I think the problem here may be fixed in 0.8rc2. It basically comes from when you are converting single-line OO files to double-line files (with two translations). If you need a shortcut fix, simply duplicate each line in the OO file and it should work fine. But it may be best to give 0.8rc2 a go...
