I've been doing my best to limit the variable/placeholder style to as few forms as possible. Unfortunately, due to different programming languages and development environments used, either in the past (legacy strings added before my time) or present, some symbols are prescribed or restricted. Maybe the developers are just telling me tales, too, but believe me I try to insist on only one form: "%", none
I'll use your plea to add weight to my own pleas and continue to work on this.
