Hello Aksa,

I am RKVS Raman from CDAC Bangalore. I coordinate the BharateeyaOO.o team here.

Glad to know that you are also working on OpenOffice. BTW do u happen
to be in Dr. Ravi's group?

As Manu said, Malayalam Unicode has got some unresolved issues. But
there are workarounds possible by putting the missing glyphs in the
reserved space. When the standard is finalised we just have to
readjust the code space.

Building OpenOffice in Malayalam comes much later. First the UI
Strings have to be translated in Malayalam.

As Manu is already working on Glossary u can start with UI
Translations by downloading the latest POT files from

ftp://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/POT/

You can use POEdit tool for translations.

Please let us know if u need more info.

Best Regards
-Raman
