Charles,
Many of the things mentioned in that issue are fixed. Checking is as
easy as opening OpenOffice 2.0, going to the language settings and
checking that it is there. If somebody is not happy with the present
situation, they should do the work of checking the latest version of OOo
and see what is left to do.. and then file one issue per problem. This
particular issue talks about many problems, many of which are no longer
there. If somebody is interested on it, they should test, and then
annotate in the issue what is not yet working. The last annotation from
somebody directly concerned with the issue is from March.
We can try to help, but only if we know what the problem really is.
Complaining does not help. We need updated information... and direct
interaction with the reporter, either through the issue or through this
list.

Hello Javier,
but then there are still people complaining about this, and among them,
Sankarshan who is one of the BL leads...

Charles,
I think that that issue was "abandoned" long time ago. Since then
Jamil Ahmed (itsjamil) has been doing the work to include both Indian
Bengali and Bangladesh Bengali in OOo. It should probably be closed.
