it shows that the symbol for the Greek currency is "GRD" (GReek Drachma).
The current currency unit used in the Greece is the Euro.
While investigating other locales, I notice that here the old symbol is
used and there is a comment saying that a mechanism to detect the
currency should be implemented.

Therefore,
if the currency.symbol should show the current currency symbol, please
change to "*€" (*U+20AC),
if the currency.symbol should show the previous currency symbol, please
change to "₯" (U+20AF).
