There is a private mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) for Marketing projects members only, where Press releases are written.

I'm already subbed to 13 mailing lists at OOo, just to try and do my job for the vi project. And OOo is only one of many projects. I really think it would save everybody's time if translation requests were sent to the l10n or NLP list. That's where the translators are, after all.

After finishing them, they are handed over to another list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), still closed form public to avoid premature announcement. To this list all the marketing contacts [1] are subscribed and it's their task to translate the PR to their language (or have it translated by their community). As our PRs are quite late in some cases the MarCons don't have that much time for the translations - but that's how it should work in general.

Yes, thankyou. I still think it's not the most efficient way to get translations, but I do know more about it now.
