Hi Volker,

thanks a lot!

I'm working at a better Polish AutoCorrect file, the current one is only 30% accurate (lists many extremely rare typos). I will have this ready by the end of this week (probably tomorrow). Could that be targeted to 2.2?

BTW, I'm working on automatic tools for making such lists based on *frequent* Wikipedia typo corrections, so that minority languages could have good autocorrect lists as well.

Best,
Marcin

Hi, Marcin!

I discovered yesterday that for several languages (Polish, Russian,
and Portuguese in Portugal) the AutoCorrect comes out empty in 2.x
because the .dat files are simply renamed from the 1.x, and not
converted to the zip file format.

This problem will be fixed with Issue 72358.

Is there any info I could use to convert those files?

You can use OOo 1.1.x to convert these files:

1. Copy the files with the old 1.x file names to
OOo_installation_path\share\autocorr, e.g. acor1045.dat (Polish)

2. Do a dummy change (Tools - Autocorrect...)

3. The new/changed Autocorrection List file is stored under
OOo_installation_path\user\autocorr

4. Rename the files, e.g. acor_pl-PL.dat (Polish)

This way there would be a ready solution for the issue I entered
(issue 73062).

I marked this issue as duplicated to the one mentioned above.

Gruß/Regards
Volker (VA)
