Hi Alexandro and all the translators in Pootle,
I'd like to briefly explain the privilege configuration of Pootle.
The initial setting for a new account only permits 'suggestion' not
'submit'.
- If you're a language lead, you need to notify the Pootle admin
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) that you're a lead. Then I'll give you the
administration privilege include translate privilege for your language.
- If you're a translator, you need to ask your language lead to give you
the translate privilege. After then, you can see the 'submit' button.
I created a wiki page regarding Pootle user guide before starting the
translation cycle and announced it in IRC meeting. However, it seems
that many translators still don't get the information.
For the detail how to start translating with Pootle, Please refer to:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Pootle_User_Guide
And if you have any other question, please let me know.
Thanks,
Aijin

One more thing you probably already know about it. The users signing
up to Pootle don't have writing rights by default. Do you have any
idea why this is happening? Do they need to write emails to the
website admin?

Was anything debated regarding SunGloss?
No questions regarding SunGloss...
Should we use SunGloss at all and how can we best use it.
Yes, please. SunGloss is the terminology repository and it is very
useful to use it especially when there are many translators working
in parallel...
Do we need the whole volunteer team to sign up for SunGloss or can
we just get the file dump.
No need for everybody to sign you can export generate the glossary
yourself and distribute it to the translators.

Thank you, Ain for providing the log:

Here some highlights:
Pootle update:
8 languages uploaded to Pootle. Issues related to the content
uploaded have now been fixed. Pootle now displays the right
content and the right translation statistics.
Translation schedule for 2.4:
there will be an interim l10n CWS build mid of November with the
latest translations delivered by October 29th. In case of
difficulties in meeting the October 29th deadline, please
prioritize the translation work as follows: GUI before Help
translation and please deliver only sdf files which contain
translated strings (in case, please remove untranslated strings
from the sdf).
Handling linguistic fixes:
this is related to linguistic issues found in the English strings
(GUI) which make localization of the strings very difficult or
nearly impossible. Such issues, if found should be submitted
selecting the project component (NOT the category l10n) but
entering the keyword localization for better tracking. Rafaella to
find out how to add such keyword in issuetracker.
Kind Regards,
Rafaella
