Hi all,

The tests described by Petr under the headline "Check Help contents" will fail for all Central and Eastern Europe languages on Linux, if you treat "check the table of contents" literally (=check if that is not garbled). This bug has been filed a long ago:

http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=61273

There is even a decent patch:

http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=71452

but nothing happens with it, though it has some votes.

Regards,
Marcin

Thank you, Petr! This is really useful information.

I would encourage all native language teams who do not perform testing or have very limited time and resources to look at the information Petr has put together on the wiki.

Rafaella

Hi all,
FYI, at http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Sanity_Check_Of_L10n_Builds I created a short set of instructions about sanity testing (sanity = quick in this context) of localized builds.

Regards,
Petr
