A new extension has been added to the OpenOffice.org Wiki that may be of some help to those of you who are involved in translating documents/pages in the Wiki.
The extension is called WatchSubPages, and it allows you to put a watch on an entire subpage structure in one step (instead of adding a watch page by page as it is by default). You can find it here: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Special:Watchsubpages To use it, you type in the top level of the Wiki book or subpage structure you want to set a watch on (leave Namespace set to (Main)) and click Go. For example to watch the French Administration Guide, you would type in: /FR/Documentation/Administration_Guide and click Go. A summary of the pages that will be added to your watchlist is shown, and you click Add pages to finish. >From then on, anytime someone makes a change to any page in the French Administration Guide, you will get an email notification. This can be done on any level in the Wiki and for any project (not just Documentation). If there are other MediaWiki extensions that will help you work with the Wiki more effectively and efficiently, let me know.
