Hi all,

since today we have a new structure for the download websites:

http://download.openoffice.org

Reasons:
1. Many RCs cannot be/weren't approved and "promoted" to a stable build. One reason is of course that many native lang teams do not have big resources but also that they builds are not comfortable to find.

That's why there is a new website with all builds from the latest Release Candidate (full installs and langpacks) to provide an central and easy way to download the favorite build. Let's see if this will pay off already with the coming 3.2 release.

2. Furthermore there was no easy way to download language packs; except the user knows that they exist and from which mirror to download.

To split the builds into stable, RC and Dev Builds has the big advantage to present it also in this way on the main download website. Green for stable, yellow for the RCs and orange (red) for Dev Builds:

I hope that this website layout will suites you and can increase the number of approved builds.

Best regards

Marcus
