I would like to raise attention of Issue 111003 that ads a mapping between OOo language codes and glibc locale modifiers under Unixes for few locales: Serbian Latin, Bosnian Cyrillic, Azeri Cyrillic and Uzbek Cyrillic.
It is integrated in DEV300_m84 (so AFAIK it should be available in all OOO330 builds including latest l10n cws). I can confirm it is working for locale/document language but I can not get it working to select UI localization, as stated in the issue comment.
