Essentially, the ask is to separate metastore and query services into two separate projects, so they can be build separately. Query service would have dependency on metastore service.
Since the adaption of current stack is limited, fine separate the project into two sub projects which can help them evolve separately. We iterated the same in the call as well, where three PMC members participated. Shall call out a vote for the same. PMC do express you concerns or comments on the vote.
