Yes, removing LICENSE.txt makes sense.
Changing the parent pom's artifact id to <artifactId>apache-lens</artifactId>
should solve for the issues with distro name issues. Also seems an more
appropriate parent artifact id.
What are the contents of DEPENDENCIES ?
