Summary: Revisit null handling in AbstractQueryContext and
subclasses

There are some places where null check of containing objects is handled, some
places it isn't. As part of this jira, let's evaluate what null means for
objects such as driver query cost, driver error etc and see whether using
Optional<T> would be a better design choice.
