Himanshu Gahlaut commented on LENS-233:
---------------------------------------

After setting up the schema, if developer is able to verify following things it
will be helpful for ramp up:

a) Runs a documented example query in which cheapest fact gets selected.
b) Runs a documented example query in which join chains gets auto resolved.
c) Runs a documented example query in which data is being fetched from jdbc
driver instead of hive driver, even though it is available in both storages.
..
..
..
and there could be more example queries documented on lens.incubator.apache.org
with schema which helps to understand lens features one by one.

Developer can also be guided to see server logs to verify if above features are
being achieved.

> Our example schema is too abstract with names like dim1, dim2 .. and fact1
> etc.
> It would be useful if we create a schema from a typical BI use cases like
> financial dwh (data warehouse) or perhaps an e-commerce or click logs dwh.
> This will also be useful in posting test queries and rewritten queries in
> JIRAs
