You mean your specific pub?

All pubs can override core processing that way that "normally" a patch
of the core is not necessary. However sometimes there is a need to patch
the core. If you found such situations and a generic solution then we
are more then welcome to apply it. 

BT I am lost what you mean with generic war structure? Anyway all
information officially available about lenya are either on
lenya.apache.org or the wiki. 

Some user/dev (like solprovider) have nice sites as well with heaps of
useful informations.
