I fixed it. The problem was the new fallback for module menus. The blog
publication features an "entry.xsp" menu and referenced a (non-existing)
entry module, which I forgot to remove. That's why the items appeared
twice (as the publication menu and as the module menu).

What is it actually supposed for? Is it supposed to create a search
form page at an arbitrary position within the sitetree?
Fixed. The search resource type didn't yet provide the xhtml format.
