This would be very useful. Care to submit a patch ;).
Currently you have to do it by changing files, which is rather unnatural
in a CMS. A simple way I can think of is to have a DELETE button just
like it happens for the "local" rights (i.e., the rights one defines at
a given content).
It needs to be some sort of toggle so that the "inherited rights" can be
turned back on.
