What about using Maven for Lenya and download the dependencies if

I found (again) the work in progress decribing the licenses compatibility:
http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta/LicenceIssues
Hope this helps.
Hi Antonio
Thanks for investigating this licence issue. I did a short review of the
license granted by Sun for Java Mail and JavaBean Activation Framework
and want to quote short excerpts from the license which seems relevant
to me for discussion:
----
JavaMail 1.3.3:
6. Java Compatibility and Open Source.
Software may contain Java technology. You may not
create additional classes to, or modifications of, the
Java technology, except under compatibility
requirements available under a separate agreement
available at www.java.net.
Sun supports and benefits from the global community of
open source developers, and thanks the community for
its important contributions and open standards-based
technology, which Sun has adopted into many of its
products.
Please note that portions of Software may be provided
with notices and open source licenses from such
communities and third parties that govern the use of
those portions, and any licenses granted hereunder do
not alter any rights and obligations you may have
under such open source licenses, however, the
disclaimer of warranty and limitation of liability
provisions in this Agreement will apply to all
Software in this distribution.
----
JavaBean Activation Framework 1.0.2:
1. Software Internal Use and Development License
Grant. Subject to the terms and conditions of
this Agreement, including, but not limited to
Section 3 (Java(TM) Technology Restrictions) of
these Supplemental Terms, Sun grants you a
non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license
to reproduce internally and use internally the
binary form of the Software, complete and
unmodified, for the sole purpose of designing,
developing and testing your Java applets and
applications ("Programs").
2. License to Distribute Software. In addition to
the license granted in Section 1 (Software
Internal Use and Development License Grant) of
these Supplemental Terms, subject to the terms and
conditions of this Agreement, including but not
limited to, Section 3 (Java Technology
Restrictions) of these Supplemental Terms, Sun
grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable,
limited license to reproduce and distribute the
Software in binary code form only, provided that
you (i) distribute the Software complete and
unmodified and only bundled as part of your
Programs, (ii) do not distribute additional
software intended to replace any component(s) of
the Software, (iii) do not remove or alter any
proprietary legends or notices contained in the
Software, (iv) only distribute the Software
subject to a license agreement that protects Sun's
interests consistent with the terms contained in
this Agreement, and (v) agree to defend and
indemnify Sun and its licensors from and against
any damages, costs, liabilities, settlement
amounts and/or expenses (including attorneys'
fees) incurred in connection with any claim,
lawsuit or action by any third party that arises
or results from the use or distribution of any and
all Programs and/or Software.
---
The link you quoted above states for Sun BCL that
binaries "maybe" downloadable from Apache. The
JavaBean Activation Framework is licensed under Sun BCL
and it would be interesting if the "maybe" means yes for
JAF. Maybe Sun's contact at the bottom of the license can
give any further information. I can't see any license
category for the JavaMail binary though paragraph 6
states that it is permissible to distribute the binary
for open-source communities. The question arises if
this is compatible with the Apache license.
If you can give any further information or pass this issue
on to anybody with more insight in licencing procedures
that would be very helpful.
Thanks a lot
Felix
Best Regards,
Antonio Gallardo.
