Could you explain what the problem is re the geronimo and the
mail/activation jars with Cocoon? I didn't find an open issue
in the bug database.

I agree that it would be much more preferable to copy the jars to
a lib/local directory in Lenya.
Great.
Still, it should be avoided to touch the
external Cocoon sources.
AFAIK, we are not touching them. We are just copying them.

copying to where exactly?
To the final build. What is the point of digging and digging the same thing all the time?

I am just trying to understand how you want to solve the problem re additional endorsed libraries.
Are you testing my patience or what? Sorry but I see this discussion as pointless. You should be more direct and explain if your build went broken.

well, I told you: I don't think it made sense to remove this dir and remove it from the build process, but rather to add a README.txt
and explain why this dir is useful. Can I be any more direct?
I will be glad to help. And if yes, please explain the things directly instead of wasting resources in a nonsense discussion.

I could argue that you waste resources by not asking, but rather just deleting stuff which you don't know what they are good for
and other people having to put them back in when they will be used.

So, who is really wasting resources?

People are using Lenya in production at many places and there are a lot of good reasons for many things that these things are within Lenya. I am happy to explain what they are good for in case you or anyone else doesn't know. And I will also ask beforehand
if I don't something.
