ooooh shit. i was trying to access the admin area with a non-admin user. thanks doug and sorry for the noise... :-o

in order to avoid this kind of confusion, an error message would be nice... i'm grepping through the source tree in search of the place where a request gets authorized and the login usecase is invoked if the user's role permissions are not sufficient, but i haven't found it yet. can anyone give me a hint?

best,

jörn
