Hello

I spent last two weeks to get JCR integration working and fixing the problems I was facing with it and I faced quite a number of problems.

I created 5 bugs in bugzilla bug 40433, 40436, 40437, 40443, 40445 and given patches/suggestions to solve the problems defined in these bugs.

Now JCR integration is working fine, and I actually tested it by importing default and my personal publication from filesource to JCRRepository. The steps I followed to get it working after given in another mail to dev list. (Date: Sep 8, 2006 5:02 PM Subject: JCR Integration)

Can one of you have a look at patchs in above mentioned bugs and review them.

With the above patches, do you think we can review the decision of defering JCR support to 1.4.1.

I voted +1 to not **announce** 1.4 with JCR support. Mainly because the current implementation doesn't really utilize JCR's feature set (unless it has changed since I last looked at it which was a 4-5 months ago).

This does not mean that I think we shouldn't fix what is broken with the current implementation (as long as the fix doesn't delay a 1.4 release).

I hope this helps.
