I've had a few testers complain about losing everything when they've hit
backspace while trying to edit a page using FCKeditor. This is due to
the fact that IE maps backspace to the back button. Turns out Firefox
under Windows does the same thing. Testing shows that only BXE disables
the backspace back feature. Forms, TinyMCE, Kupu, and FCKeditor will all
go back if not in the editable area. Besides losing changes, this of
course doesn't release locks on the document. I've put together the
javascript necessary to disable this functionality. What do others think
about putting this into our editing pages?

+1 (depending on the details of the implementation, of course)

It's just a short piece of javascript and two listeners put on the body element. IE and Firefox require different onkey* listeners. Opera works one of the two, don't know which.

I'll clean what I have up and get it functioning under the FCK module. Others can take a look at it from there.
