hi richard, hi everyone!
it's good that the danger of data loss for windows users is now gone,
but i'm missing my backspace key while editing :(
is there any chance of making that backspace-eater more selective?
do i understand correctly that it happens under windows for all
browsers, and for none under osx and linux? if so, does anyone know a
sane way of sniffing the operating system via javascript?
thanks,

There is a way of making it more sane. I didn't run into any issues in
my testing. Browser, OS, Editor? Opera under Linux will do the back on
backspace (and on 'z' as well). FF under Linux can be configured to do
so. Safari under OSX uses backspace, not sure about FF under OSX.

Okay, I see the problem with the form editors as well. I should be able
to write a check to make it behave how we want.
