http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43100 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-08-26 01:33 ------- (In reply to comment #0) "... but as soon as other vendors start implementing it, it's nitpicking time." Actually, there have been two independent implementations for a while. Koffice was the first to implement ODF and OpenOffice.org was second. Lotus Notes 8 will be using it (the beta does already). There is a viewer plug-in for FireFox, though currently limited to wordprocessing files. The browser has wide usage even if the plugin and the above office suites have not achieved the same level of market penetration. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1888 There is also a working plug-in for MS Office XP, 2000, and 2003: http://www.sun.com/software/star/odf_plugin/ So, soon "nitpicking time" should be at least placed on the calendar. ;) -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
