Hi Jukka, thanks a lot for this offer!

The Jackrabbit project (among others) is organizing a JCR meetup event during the Hackathon in ApacheCon EU. See http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/JcrMeetupApril2008 for more details. One of the proposed program items for the meetup is a JCR content modeling workshop where we'd take existing (or planned) content models and discuss how that model would best fit a hierarchical JCR content repository. Would you be interested in evaluating the Lenya content model against JCR?
I'd be very interested, but unfortunately I won't be in Amsterdam. Maybe there is a chance to participate via the internet (chat/video)?
As you may have noticed, JCR integration is on the Lenya roadmap for quite a long time now. Maybe a major reason that it is not finished yet is the scepticism of the community regarding the maturity of Jackrabbit (which would of course be our first choice for the JCR implementation). I have no doubt that matters have improved a lot in this regard during the last years, and I'm confident that a meeting would be very fruitful. I still believe that JCR is the way to go for us, and that replacing our repository with Jackrabbit would make our lives much easier.
Will someone from the Lenya development community be in Amsterdam? If not, maybe a meeting can be arranged later? Since most of the JCR gurus are working for Day, maybe a meeting in Switzerland is not out of the question?
We'll have some top JCR experts available for the exercise and if time permits, we could even do some quick prototyping based on the results during the ApacheCon. If you're interested (and around in Amsterdam), you're welcome to participate! I'll try to keep notes and send a summary of the discussion to this list.
That would be very nice. TIA! -- Andreas -- Andreas Hartmann, CTO BeCompany GmbH http://www.becompany.ch Tel.: +41 (0) 43 818 57 01 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
