like Richard already mentioned, this bug was supposed to be fixed before 2.0 was released … Would you mind providing a simple step-by-step guide how to reproduce it so that we can verify that it is fixed in 2.0.2? You could also try it on the online demo.
in 2.0.2 the "Save" button is missing in the Meta-Tab of the Site-view. This is as well only the case in the "migrated" 2.0 publication. Can you please give me a hint where I might find the reason for that or under what conditions this button is not available?
The button has been removed. The meta data fields are now saved using background requests when you leave the field (e.g., press the tab key to move to the next field). The intention of the change is to avoid stale continuations. See https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=44676 for more information.
