I think there are other players in the Java world who are likely to have an impact on what is going on - those people with coloured hats for one :) Also, there is OpenJDK - btw is anyone running Lenya with it? Should we focus on compatibility with Java 6 rather than worrying about where Java 7 will or will not go? My humble opinion.
