Below is a proposed abstract for the RMLL talk that Rudolf and/or I
would give at RMLL. Any suggested changes or additions would be nice.
Rudolf, look it over and make sure it covers what you can easily
talk about as well.
Fine. I think I would also be able to talk about if .
Should we just put both of us in as co-presenters and figure it out
later?
It's ok for me if you do the presentation and I only do it if you
can't come.
If so, can you send me a bio that I can include? How long should it
be? It looks like increments of 20 are what they will do. I'll await
feedback and send it in tomorrow at about 14:00 GMT.
Topic: Technical - Internet
Language: English
Length: 40 minutes (?)
Title: An introduction to Apache Lenya.
Apache Lenya is a content management system distributed by the
Apache Software Foundation. Lenya user Apache Cocoon at its core,
which provides great flexibility. The talk will cover the history of
the project, current status, features, and usage.
A notice that Apache Lenya is a XML CMS would be useful think, because
other system can't deal with arbitrary xml documents.
Main features include:
- Support for a variety of WYSIWYG Editors
- Default support for revisioning
- Custimizable workflow engine
- Internationalization support
- Clean URLs
- Uses XSLT for templating
The talk will conclude with future directions for the project.
At my first look is't fine.
I'll try to send you additional comments and my bio later.
Today I'm on a business trip and I'm not sure if I have access to the
internet today, so if you don't get a message from me until 14:00 GMT
please send it out.
Best Rudolf
