John Carr commented on LIBCLOUD-277:
------------------------------------
https://github.com/apache/libcloud/pull/82
I'm very familiar with libvirt from implementing the libvirt support in
buildbot. I can try and help improve the driver, but I think their abstraction
gets in the way of the abstraction we are trying to make and it may never be as
good as a proper driver. The main trouble I would imagine comes from getting
the IP address of a created node? And possibly some complexity around creating
clones of base images? (Though looks like that has come a long way in the past
year or so).

> This would be really useful for offline testing and poking of libcloud based
> tools without having to select and pay a cloud provider.
