Hello Kevin, I am graduate student at the University of Arizona and currently an intern at Raza Microelectronics, a chip-design firm in San Jose, California. For sometime, I have been thinking of contributing my programming time towards the development of Open Office Suite. Aside from the excitement of writing efficient programs, I am also interested in contributing towards Open Source software. Hence the desire to with Open Office. To start with the task
"Redesign the myspell spell checker to handle uppercase, lowercase and mixed case in a more efficient way" seems interesting to me. Only a few days back, I started looking at the developer's guide. So, I was wondering if you anything to say regarding the starting point, the time-frame within which the task is expected and so on.
