I'm glad that Google has generated genuine interest in the open source
community. Most of the 'interest' that we see is not interest at all.
I like to place all of the blame on fads that happen to be open sourced,
particularly Firefox. Most of the candidates for participation have
said that they will work even without the bounty from Google. This
shows real growth in FLOSS. For those of you who are accepted,
congratulations.
