Dear Anthony, Please, do a search in this list with words "Grammar Checker". You will discover that there are about four proposed projects (for Irish, Catalan, German, English and Portuguese), but there is not the conclusive project, with a international language support. Maybe, this absence it is because there is not an API in OO that simplifies tests with OO and because grammar checker is a very complicated problem (study each project and you will agree with me)! We are developing a (Brazilian) Portuguese grammar checker, called CoGrOO. You can test it in cogroo.incubadora.fapesp.br (yet only in Portuguese, sorry!). And we are developing a user interface to OO in Java and Basic (you can see a snapshot in above site). I wish I have helped.

I would like a grammar checker in OpenOffice!" I know nothing about programming, but I know a fair bit about grammar and English (English English, not American English!) if you ever needed my admittedly mediocre advice. I see that the page was last updated nearly a year ago. If you have this project underway already or have even finished then it'd be great to know what's happening. Is it going to be a part of OOo 2.0?
