Dear Ruud, I have fixed the bug of the last release of the hyphenator (according to my recent OOo fix in CWS hunspell2). Caolan McNamara from Red Hat has added Autotools/Libtool support to the standalone hyphenator. I have renamed this distribution and the shared library to the simple "hyphen", because it contains only the hyphenation part hyphen.* of libhnj and OOo uses it also under this name.
Here is the result: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/hunspell/hyphen-2.3.tar.gz About the Dutch non-standard patterns: There is no Patgen support for non-standard patterns. You need to add them manually to the Patgen output before using substrings.pl. Unfortunatelly, there is a bug in OpenOffice.org, and non-standard hyphenation of diaeresis doesn't work right, so you could add only -tje patterns. See also http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=71608.
