Just to check... you've added it in the control panel- your new CF DSN
should be an ODBC socket... do you have that and its not working?

Are you using XP with SP2?
If so, I believe this is a bug and you will find similar posts on the MM
forums.
The way to get around it is to create an ODBC connection in Control Panel,
then connect the CF DSN to that.

Hello
This is my first post - can anyone please help?
I have experienced the following error when setting up a new DSN in CFMX
Administrator:
Connection verification failed for data source: test
[]java.sql.SQLException: SQLException occurred in JDBCPool while
attempting
to connect, please check your username, password, URL, and other
connectivity info.
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: SQLException occurred in

I have done this many times, so not sure why this should suddenly happen.
