Why not? It should work no problem so long as CF uses a proper javamail jar file... and if it's not a proper javamail jar file, then they shouldn't be using the javamail namespace in the jar file... You could always just add the jar to CFMX the normal way (CFMX Admin), and use it from there (requires a basic understanding of Java to be able to use properly). My suggestion? Copy the CFMX javamail jar file, and save it somewhere. Then overwrite with the newer version (fun!) and then try it. if it doesn't work... what hav eyou lost? Nothing!
