...the best blind way to do this is use something like
http://www.1-hit.com/all-in-one/tool.loading-time-checker.htm Beware though
accuracy as much a function of the internet speed as the bandwidth available
to the site through its hardware and server admin setup and speed of its
local network
Tools you mention dip into the world of intranet testing mostly as I'm
guessing variables like the speed of the internet itself, the slowest node
on the hub, interfere with accuracy. The bandwidth usage can be set/limited
by server administrators, if your a server admin, have a look at
www.ntop.org and catch those using open relay connections for spamming:)Yes,
most server admin
panels give the size in bytes used, eg report logfile for a server will give
ftp/mail,web usage by site over a fixed time period...

Subject: [work] [CF-Dev] Measure Bandwidth of a site

>- see footer for list info -<
How do plesk and other tools measure the bandwidth of a site?

It must come from the logs somehow... but can anyone tell me how? Does
it just take the packet size in bytes and add that on?

Also, does it take into account FTP and other traffic?

Just wondering! Anyone got any solutions?
