We set this up before the weekend, and today was the first (disastrous)
day under heavy load - Mondays are busy, the rest of the week less so.

Seem unable to get the various settings between CF and MySQL servers set
up right to give us the speed we anticipated (some may remember that we
were working with Access databases before!), or the stability one would
expect on this combination.

Almost every page request has to hit three databases - a basic database
for header info, a counter database, then the main one.

We have CF set up to accept a max of 100 concurrent requests and MySQL
with max_connections at 30. This works for a time, then we get an error
message from CF - that I suspect is generated by MySQL - that access to
the database is denied. Sometimes it is evident that the first set of
queries on a page blows it away, sometimes the last, occasionally the
middle set. We did try the configuration the other way round, and didn't
get the messages, but it was very, very slow.

I'm actually at a total loss on how to get this to work properly, so if
anyone has any ideas, or can point me in the right direction, I'd be
grateful. Need any further info? Please ask.

Cheers
Terry
