Are you on CF5 by any chance? We had a similar problem and realised (bug
or not) that setting the clientvariables db to purge after x amount of
time didn't actually work and we had to implement a scheduled CF
template that did it instead. I'm not sure if this is an issue with CFMX.

Okay I give up with the Macromedia Knowledge Base (a contradiction in terms
I think), it's a pile of crap.
I've got a problem on a bunch of sites that use client variables. The client
vars are not being set and I'm getting the following error on every call...
oh and it's a very helpful error message of course:
____
"Error Diagnostic Information
ODBC Error Code = ()
Timed-out trying to get a connection to CLIENT_VAR_D1. The connection limit
has been reached."
yadda yadda yadda
____
Anyone seen this sort of behaviour before? I'm guessing the client storage
needs purging, the datasource connection resetting, or something like that,
but I have no access to the server so I could do with a correct solution
before I have to contact the host.
Cheers
Taz
