>- see footer for list info -< The easiest way to tell is ensure that you have TWO folders in the JRE folder... C:\JRun4\runtime\jre\bin (or equivalent) There must be a client AND a server folder in their. Do not be tempted to copy the jvm.dll from the client folder and create a new server folder to paste it to...this is very bad and will lead to unexpected results.
As Stephen noted, ensure you get the SDK and not the standard JRE on its lonesome. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Stephen Moretti Sent: 17 May 2005 13:19 To: Coldfusion Development Subject: Re: [CF-Dev] CF 5 to CF 7 (bypass MX!) ??? >- see footer for list info -< Robertson-Ravo, Neil (RX) wrote: >>- see footer for list info -< >> >> >Well, the JVM which ships vanilla with MX is no where near good enough for >high load sites or applications. Make sure you get the SDK, and not just the vanilla JRE, so that you get the server bits of the JRE that you need for CFMX. If you try pointing CF at the ordinary JRE - you'll have to go scrabbling around in the jvm.config file to get your server back up again! (Honest guv I haven't done that a couple of times with out thinking!) _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- >- Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Forum provided by www.fusetalk.com -< >- DHTML Menus provided by www.APYCOM.com -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -< This e-mail is from Reed Exhibitions (Oriel House, 26 The Quadrant, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1DL, United Kingdom), a division of Reed Business, Registered in England, Number 678540.
