The problem comes down to the database, but since it's inherited you probable don't have much control as you could get away with any need for 6 updates/triggers with a modified DB design.
In your case a trigger would work AOK - not my preferred route but still OK. This basically means an update which has to occur on around 6 tables at the same time. The updates are currently done via 6 cfqueries but the apps using SQL server, so i'm thinking that using a trigger would make sense. Anyone think of anything more appropriate or are triggers the best way?
