As a shared scope you can still get race conditions especially if you're
using a site with frames which makes many simultaneous requests. Agreed that
its not going to cause as many problems as with application scopes but to
say " You can read happily without locking!" isn't strictly true it's always
a risk

And in any case in CFMX 6.1+ (or even 6+) you don't really need to
worry about copying your session scopes in request scopes and all that
jazz.  You can read happily without locking!  (AFAIK!).
