I checked for spelling mishtaks. Fine. I checked that the files did indeed exist. Fine. All I got was a 404. I then decided to remove the header tag: <cfheader name="content-disposition" value="attachment; filename=#variables.FileName#"> And knock me down with a feather! Everything starts working, only inline. Inline is all very well if that's what you want, but do you know what? I don't. I want a forced download. Is that too much to ask? So why has this happened? I've been creating forced download pages for years without any problems, always using my trusted friend: <cfheader name="content-disposition" value="attachment; filename=#variables.FileName#"> <cfcontent type="#variables.MimeType#" deletefile="No" file="#variables.MyDir##variables.FileName#"> I've now tried everything. I've tried ditching the mimetype. I've tried other mimetypes (octet stream, unknown, etc.). No luck. I've tried killing all the whitespace on the forced page. I've tried reasoning with it. I've tried threats, and I've even tried promises of packets of Maltesers. None of which have worked. So my question is. Why is a humble cfheader killing the whole thing and reducing my download to a measly 404? Oh, and does anyone have any more Maltesers? I've run out.
