yes. Well put it this way, when we moved across from cfmx 6.1 to 7, it
(mysql driver) didn't work. I think cf only ships with Mysql version 3
support.
This solution does work well though :)

OK I have a weird one.
Using MySQL Administrator I can connect to the server using any
available username/password and admin the database.
But when adding a DSN via CFADMIN, it will only work with the ROOT
login, any other login fails with
Connection verification failed for data source: DSNNAME
